Q. How do I know if therapy is right for me? A. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or notice patterns you want to change, therapy can help. We'll explore your goals in a free consultation to ensure it's a good fit.

Q. Do you take insurance? A. I'm an out-of-network provider but can provide superbills for possible reimbursement. This allows more flexible, personalized care.

Q. Do you offer a sliding-scale? A. Yes! We offer sliding scale options to keep our services accessible. We're happy to adjust based on your needs—just let us know when booking. No paperwork required. We believe everyone deserves support regardless of budget.

Q. What is your cancellation policy? A. 24 hours notice avoids fees, with exceptions for emergencies. This protects time reserved just for you.

Q. Why don’t you accept insurance? A. To maintain the highest quality of care and flexibility for our clients, we’ve chosen not to work directly with insurance providers. This allows us to: - Offer customized care without insurance restrictions - Keep paperwork minimal and sessions focused on you - Provide sliding scale options as an alternative

Q. Will everything I say be confidential? A. Yes, with three exceptions: if you're a danger to yourself/others, abuse of vulnerable persons, or court subpoenas.

Q. How often should we meet? A. Most clients start with weekly sessions, then taper as progress is made. We'll adjust based on your needs.

Q. What can I expect in a first session? A. We'll discuss what brings you in, your history, and goals. It's a no-pressure space to see if we connect - you can ask questions too.

Q. How long does therapy typically take? A. While every journey is unique, most clients see progress in 8-12 sessions. Complex trauma may take longer - we'll move at your pace.

Q. What’s your therapy style? A. I’m proudly eclectic—which means I customize evidence-based techniques to your unique needs. Think of it as a therapy toolkit where we might: - Use CBT to shift unhelpful thought patterns - Apply somatic practices (yoga/breathwork) to release trauma from the body - Explore narrative therapy to rewrite disempowering life stories - Integrate solution-focused strategies for quick wins

Q. What if I don't want to talk about my past? A. We focus on your present goals. While history informs our work, you set the pace for what feels safe to explore.

Q. What if I don’t feel "connected" to my therapist? A. The therapeutic relationship is key—it’s okay if we’re not the right fit! I’ll: Check in openly about your comfort level Adjust my approach based on your feedback Provide referrals if needed (no pressure to continue) Tip: Most clients know by session 3 if it feels right.

Q. How do I know if I'm making progress? A. We'll track concrete indicators (sleep, relationships, etc.) and check in monthly about the changes you're noticing.
